Vishwak Sen Gangs Of Godavari Is Now Releasing On May 31

Vishwak Sen's eagerly awaited rural gangster drama, 'Gangs Of Godavari' has been facing multiple delays. Itw as initially supposed to release in December last year and then it was finalised for May 17 at last. Now, it got pushed one more time and the makers have announced that the intense action film will hit the screens on May 31st, coinciding with the release date of Vishwak's first directorial, 'Falaknuma Das'.

Vishwak Sen was last seen in a unique thriller, 'Gaami' where he is seen as Aghora. Gangs Of Godavari is surrounded with good buzz as Vishwak for the first time in his career sported a thick moustache, lungi clad and an out and out rural youngster. The song 'Suttamla Soosi' was a chartbuster followed by item song and a bloodied glimpse. All these raised curiosity about the film.

Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, 'Gangs Of Godavari' includes Neha Shetty as the leading lady and Anjali in the key role. Vishwak Sen's character is set to be set in the 1960s. He is likely to adopt a dark and intense character as he makes his way through the Godavari region, where embracing violence is necessary for survival. The movie is expected to offer a raw and compelling storytelling experience. 

As the both Telugu states were gripping with Political and IPL fever, makers thought pushing the film to a later date will attract audiences attention. As IPL will be done by May 26th and election heat will also gets subsided after May 13th polling, it would be best for the film to arrive on May 31, makers thought. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music while Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Sowjanya are bankrolling the project.
